About the job
We're building the next gen investing app and we need a sharp, hands-on Lifecycle Marketer to help us grow. We're looking for a Lifecycle Marketing Manager to own the full customer journey — from activation to retention to re-engagement. We want someone who is data-obsessed, creative, and excited to build. This role will own our lifecycle function end-to-end across email, push, in-app, and SMS, partnering closely with the founders and growth team as we scale.
What You'll Do
- Partner closely with the founders, growth and data team to own Alinea's lifecycle marketing function end-to-end
- Lead the strategy and execution of multi-channel campaigns across email, push notifications, in-app messaging, and SMS
- Own onboarding flows, retention programs, and re-engagement sequences — building them from scratch and optimizing continuously
- Design segmentation and personalization logic to deliver the right message to the right user at the right moment
- Run A/B testing programs across copy, creative, timing, and frequency — and share learnings across the team
- Translate campaign data into clear, actionable insights for non-marketing teammates and leadership
- Build and maintain a clean, well-segmented contact database inside our marketing automation platform
- Partner with product and data teams to align lifecycle programs with the product roadmap and user behavior signals
- Own key lifecycle metrics: activation rate, engagement, churn, LTV, and revenue from CRM channels
- Proactively identify gaps in the customer journey and build programs to close them
What We're Looking For
- 3+ years of experience in lifecycle, CRM, retention, & email marketing
- Prior experience in a high-growth startup environment (bonus if fintech, SaaS, or consumer app)
- Hands-on experience with a marketing automation platform (Customer.io)
- Strong foundation in segmentation, behavioral triggers, and personalization logic
- Comfortable writing compelling copy and briefing designers on creative
- Clear communication skills — you can translate campaign results into insights for the whole team
- A proactive, ownership-driven mindset: you spot gaps in the funnel and build programs to fix them
- Comfort operating in ambiguity and building processes from scratch
- Familiarity with HTML/CSS for email templates
- Exposure to mobile push and SMS compliance (TCPA, GDPR)
