We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Paralegal to join our Legal team. This role is essential for supporting our rapid global expansion and complex operations across multiple subsidiaries and joint ventures. The successful candidate will play a critical role in managing legal documentation, ensuring corporate compliance, and supporting our lawyers on matters unique to the Web3 and digital asset space.
Key Responsibilities
Contract Management and Support
Assist in the drafting, formatting, and review of a wide range of commercial and legal documents, including:
Non-Disclosure Agreements (NDAs).
Licensing and Intellectual Property (IP) agreements (especially those related to NFTs, digital media, and gaming).
Vendor, partnership, and service agreements.
Maintain and manage the company’s contract management system, ensuring accurate record-keeping and tracking of key contractual obligations and deadlines.
Corporate and Compliance Support
Assist with company secretarial matters for various global subsidiaries, including board resolutions, minutes, and corporate filings.
Conduct essential legal research on domestic and international laws, with a strong focus on regulatory developments in the blockchain, crypto, and digital asset sectors.
Help maintain and organize the legal team’s document repository and knowledge base.
Operational Legal Assistance
Process invoices and manage departmental billing and external counsel engagements.
Liaise and communicate effectively with internal business units (e.g., Finance, HR, Product, and studio teams) and external stakeholders.
Provide general administrative support to the legal team as required.
Requirements
- Education: Bachelor’s degree (preferably in Law or a related field) or a Paralegal Certificate from an accredited institution.
- Experience: Minimum of 3+ years of experience as a Paralegal in a law firm or in-house legal department.
- Technical Knowledge: Strong understanding of legal procedures, terminology, and legal document management.
- Web3 Interest: A strong passion for and foundational understanding of the Web3 space, including concepts like NFTs, blockchain technology, cryptocurrencies, and decentralized autonomous organizations (DAOs).
- Skills: Exceptional attention to detail, organizational skills, ability to prioritize tasks, and a proactive, "get-it-done" attitude.
- Language: Excellent written and spoken English proficiency.
Nice to have
- Prior experience working in the technology, gaming, or entertainment industries.
- Familiarity with investment documents common in Web3 (e.g., SAFTs, SAFEs, Convertible Notes).
- Experience with international corporate governance and regulatory compliance frameworks.
- Proficiency in a second major language (e.g., Mandarin, Korean, etc.).
