About Highrise
Highrise is a digital fashion platform with millions of players who live and breathe style. We're in the business of fashion, it just happens to be digital. More than just an app, Highrise is user-driven, a community where people connect, create, and build meaningful social experiences together. Identity, self-expression, and taste are at the core of everything we build.
Our players notice the difference between good and great, and so do we.
The Role
We're looking for an exceptional Senior Spine Animator to bring our characters, environments, and props to life.
In this role, you bridge the gap between animation and engineering. You shape how Highrise feels and moves by developing dynamic rigs, refining workflows, and delivering high-performance mobile animations.
You have direct impact over our character deformation and dynamic animation systems. You collaborate closely with artists and engineers to build flexible rigs, clear technical hurdles, and elevate overall game aesthetics in a fast-paced environment.
What You'll Do
Design and produce fluid character and object animations, including complex pseudo-3D effects.
Develop visual effects inside Unity to elevate overall game aesthetics.
Build dynamic, flexible 2D rigs and optimize Spine assets for seamless integration into the game engine.
Oversee the end-to-end implementation of animation assets within Unity.
-
Collaborate with art, live operations, and engineering teams to pitch fresh concepts, refine visual consistency, and solve technical hurdles.
What We're Looking For
An exceptional portfolio showcasing relevant 2D character animation, pseudo-3D effects, and technical rigging proficiency.
Advanced rigging mastery in Spine or similar animation tools.
Technical understanding of mobile performance optimization, asset prep, and mobile hardware constraints.
Strong creative problem-solving skills, fluent English communication, and a track record of thriving under fast-paced production deadlines.
Background in traditional animation, basic scripting skills, pipeline creation experience, or experience in Unity and Unity VFX.
