The Lead Programmatic Consultant role offers an exciting opportunity to further develop your leadership skills while driving the operational and revenue success of your team’s accounts. In this role, you will be responsible for managing a team of programmatic consultants and leading from the front as a player-coach, overseeing day-to-day operations while also directly engaging with clients. You will leverage your extensive technical expertise and client-facing skills to maximize the impact of Samba’s full suite of product offerings. The ideal candidate is not only an expert in campaign optimization and DSP management but also a proven leader with experience managing teams in a fast-paced, high-growth environment. Location Requirements
- Preference within 50 miles of a Samba office in NYC, LA, or CHI.
- Must be able to be in the office 3 days a week (Tuesday-Thursday)
Responsibilities
- Drive account growth through campaign extensions, incremental spend, and renewals.
- Manage and develop a team of programmatic consultants, ensuring their professional growth and success.
- Act as the first point of escalation for campaign and client issues.
- Oversee the health of brand/agency relationships as a lead, facilitating problem-solving discussions and presenting innovative solutions.
- Collaborate with the Revenue team throughout the full life cycle of programmatic campaigns, including planning, strategy, activation, troubleshooting, consultation, upselling, and renewals.
- Take ownership of the operational and revenue success for your and your team’s accounts, acting as a player-coach to drive team performance and client satisfaction.
- Travel to client offices or offsite locations to foster and strengthen customer engagement.
- Provide strategic oversight and guidance on campaign performance, optimizing outcomes, and maximizing client investment.
- Analyze internal and client reports to deliver tailored performance recommendations according to preferred platforms, budgets, and KPIs.
- Serve as the primary expert on Samba’s product offerings, proprietary tools, SSPs, and DMPs.
- Lead cross-functional projects with product, research, data, finance, and sales operations teams to enhance the programmatic workflow and customer experience.
- Develop and implement best practices to improve processes around Samba’s programmatic offerings, providing root cause analysis for pain points and workflow inefficiencies.
Requirements
- 6+ years of experience in programmatic advertising, with at least 2 years of management experience leading teams.
- Currently requiring 3 days a week on-site in office, with a possibility of increasing in the future.
- Proven track record in building and managing client relationships, with at least 2+ years of quota-carrying experience.
- Hands-on experience with, DSPs, SSPs, and DMPs, with the ability to troubleshoot and resolve delivery, discrepancy, creative, and performance issues.
- Proficiency in CRMs like Salesforce and project management tools such as Jira.
- Deep understanding of programmatic platforms, suppliers, and strategies, including interactions with leading DSPs, SSPs, DMPs, and publishers.
- Up-to-date knowledge of the latest trends and technologies in digital advertising, with the ability to explain complex technical issues to varied audiences.
- Exceptional analytical skills, with expertise in tools such as Excel, Google Sheets, and SQL, and the ability to quickly master various other tools and platforms.
- Strong history of successfully leading complex projects and delivering results on time.
