Job Overview
As an Avatar Marketplace Content Reviewer, you’ll be part of the Trust and Safety team, focused on supporting our newly launched Avatar Marketplace. The Avatar Marketplace lets you find an avatar from within VRChat, designed to help people get into an avatar that fits them easily.
We are looking for an Avatar Marketplace Content Reviewer to review and evaluate avatars from community creators, as well as business partners. You will review and evaluate submissions based on our Content Guidelines, to ensure they align with the Avatar Marketplace policy, performance, visual and technical standards. You must be detail-oriented, familiar with Unity, and self-motivated.
Note: The roles and responsibilities may expand as the program evolves.
Responsibilities
- Review 3D avatar assets submitted to ensure they adhere to the Content Guidelines, including assessing visual and technical fidelity, performance and compliance with VRChat policy.
- Review user feedback and user reports for any mis-reviewed content.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to improve and iterate on our Content Guidelines.
- Contribute to the development of a robust and scalable Standard Operating Procedure for the avatar review process.
- Support processing of seller applications for Avatar Marketplace, including operational tracking, application review, and collaboration with cross-functional teams to improve and iterate on our application process.
Experience, Skills & Qualifications
- 2+ years experience with VRChat avatar creation and demonstrated operational experience OR 1-2 years of experience in user-generated content review (e.g.,moderation).
- Demonstrated independent working ability.
- Technically savvy and able to quickly learn new systems.
- Available for weekly meetings in Pacific Standard Time (PST).
- Familiarity with VRChat’s avatar creation process.
- Experienced and capable with the Unity Editor.
Bonus Points
- Familiarity with 3rd party storefronts where VRChat avatars and other kinds of 3D assets are sold.
- Culturally aware of trends, pop culture, and current events.
